Does your local group want to have David Lawrence present a day of rope workshops? If the answer to this question is yes, then here is your opportunity.

David Lawrence will be touring the USA in 2012. He is setting up dates now with groups across the country.

Here is how it works;

1. A minimum of 20 people from the local community purchase reBOUND, Shibari Style Impressions in advance. These copies will be shipped to you prior to the weekend and will be signed in person.

2. Travel & Lodging Expenses will be covered by the group hosting David for the weekend. The weekend would include Thursday night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

3. A special Friday evening meet & greet will be set up for those who purchased reBOUND which will give David an opportunity to sign each copy and chat with the people who purchased them. A 2 or 3 hour class will then be made available for all who want to stay and participate.

4. Saturday will be a day of rope classes. There will be 2 classes. One for beginners and Intermediate riggers and the other a more advanced class. The specifics will be worked out in advance with the organizers from your community. The classes offered will be designed to support the education of the people in the local community.

5. The cost of the workshops will be determined by the local community organizers. David will contribute back to the community the entire registration fee. The funds can be used for community outreach and support and/or donated to a local charity. This is David’s way of giving back to the community.

This is an intense interactive photography workshop featuring David’s innovative style of using light, composition and artistic expression to create dynamic and erotic imagery. Have you ever wondered how to shoot at night and maintain greater depth of field? Do you wonder how to have total control of your environment while including people in your images? David’s methodology will teach you to accomplish that. This class will be presented on location and will give participants an opportunity to work with the techniques and methodology that are presented. This is a must for any amateur or professional who is inspired by the night. Imagine, shooting at 100 ISO, f-10 to 22 at exposure times from 5 to 120 seconds or more. Achieving results under these conditions takes a solid understanding of the technique. You are invited to add this challenging class so your night photography will explode in artistic and technical excellence.

A camera with full manual control capability, a tripod, cable release and off camera lighting will be required for the City Lights Series class. If you have additional portable strobes, bring them along. David will talk with you about radio control/transmitters & receivers.

Sharing knowledge is the responsibility of all professionals. Whether you are new photographer or a seasoned professional growth is always possible. My personal credo is that you are only as good as your last photograph. This has led me to the concept of mentoring. Working with a mentor is a proven method that will assist you in achieving your goals as a photographer. I have developed a mentoring program over the past two years that offers three options providing a wide range of opportunities for everyone. Each course will be designed to fit the individual’s current base of knowledge. I will cover areas that will support consistent growth and stability in producing quality and artistic results. For those that have Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 2 I will also work with you on post production techniques that I have found to be useful.

The 6 week program will cost $900.00, an 8 week program at $1,100.00 and the 12 week program will be $1,600.00. Each week I will provide 4 hours of telephone support, assignments with assignment review, portfolio review and directional support. It all starts with a conversation to determine your current status as a photographer. I will then work to develop a plan of action so that you reach the goals you have dreamed of attaining. Japanese Style Rope Bondage Workshops with David Lawrence

David is available to teach his style of Japanese Inspired Rope Bondage at events, small and large groups. His background includes instructing at events both large and small. In addition, he is available for private instruction. See a list of classes David has presented at events around the country. David’s style of teaching and sharing knowledge is full of energy, humor and includes hands-on situational experience and instruction for the participants.





This class is all about how to approach a dynamic suspension. Dynamic suspensions from my perspective are when you enable the rope bottom to move. This movement can be slight or it can be designed to go from one suspension position to another through a series of transitions. We will explore the set up and execution of these transitions. What works and what does not to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your rope bottom. If the venue has enough frames this will be a hands-on class. If not, I will demonstrate the techniques and we will discuss all the points made to ensure your comprehension. Bring rope and your rope bottom to class as there is information that will be shared for the bottom too.

This will be lead by David Lawrence and slave judy. We will share how our personal dynamic has successfully contributed to a strong and long lasting, more than 10 years, connection within an alternative lifestyle with a concentration around rope bondage. This class explores the magic of floor work combined with partial suspensions that can be achieved with a hard point, bamboo tripod, suspension frame or any point that your partner can be partially suspended from safely. The purpose of this exploration is to establish a sound connection through floor work and then adding some spice to it for the sensual, BDSM and/or sexual interactions possible with a partial suspension…and we do not stop there…come to class and explore with me the possibilities and know they are endless!

This class is for the intermediate to advanced rigger. If you are newer to the art of rope bondage you can still take this class in preparation for your more advanced work. The extreme ties explored will involve bamboo, chairs and positioning of the rope bottom in ways to please you beyond the ordinary. These ties will be extraordinary and will provide you with a sense of awe and connection with your rope bottom beyond your wildest imagination. One of the favorite things to explore with extreme bondage is what can I do with my bottom to satisfy their deepest desires, sexual ones no doubt…we will uncover some mysteries for sure. Oh, and you, as the rigger, will come away equally satisfied that your needs have been addressed as well. The last component of this class will be partial to full suspensions of the extreme nature incorporating bamboo.

This is a class for the Intermediate to Advanced rigger, or anyone aspiring to escalate their rope bondage scening. David Lawrence will demonstrate how to move beyond the typical bondage performed at home or at a play party and turn it into something extreme. It will push the limits of your mind and the mind & body of your rope bottom. In this class David will help you examine the question: What do you do with your bottom once they are secured in extreme rope? This challenging exploration will be well worth your attention, as David never fails to surprise, impress, and amuse.

This class is a fun and interactive experience concentrating on the development of the elements that will take your experience with rope from mundane to extraordinary. We will talk, and share some concepts that are bound to enhance your experience as a top and bottom during your rope play. Ever wonder how to make a scene develop and hold you in suspense? Come to this class and find out. For those of you who have yet to play in public this is a class for you. You will discover how to make magic happen in a public play space where you and your bottom are the center of attention while maintaining a focused connection and captivating your audience.

This is a class that explores several methods of creating a hog tie. The fundamentals will be explored and demonstrated. More importantly when the foundation of a hogtied is explained the participant will see clearly the simplicity and versatility of this very cool bondage scenario. Once your partner/subject is tied the fun begins. How many forced orgasms can you dish out in 30 minutes? We’ll talk about that too. For the uninhibited you can rise to the challenge and tie your partner in order to find out.

This class is all about creating strong connections with your partner. All too often we forget the connection when tying our partners. This class explores creating and heightening the experience of the bottom and of course the top in the scene. We will talk in class on how to open up the lines of communication both verbal and non verbal to allow for HOT ~ HOT ~ HOT playtime with rope. Is there a sexual component in rope play? We’ll explore that too!

Taking basic breast harnesses and tweaking them on the fly….this class explores how to take some basic breast harnesses and tweaking them on the fly which opens up your mind to exploring something more creative in breast harness design and functionality. There are so many variations to explore. Just be open to start with a solid foundation and let your mind and creative spirit take over. You will be glad you did.

To include inverted suspension with the waist harness I designed, sideways and face down too. This will include starting with a partial and safety aspects associated with suspension. During this class I will break down the fundamentals of safe suspension techniques that enable the Beginner to understand and explore their first suspensions successfully. The Intermediate to expand their knowledge base and the Advanced to fine tune their abilities with sound fundamentals. This is a hands on class and all participants will be able to work through at least one suspension with guidance and support from me so long as the event has enough suspension frames on hand.

Rope and hot wax are one of my favorite combinations to play with at home. The combination or rope and wax can add a dimension to play that is beyond exciting. It is TITALLATING!!! Come and join me for a class demonstration and discussion on how to include hot wax in your rope play. Want to know how to remove the wax from your ropes? I will share with you my tried and true method. It works every time. This class it hot, pun intended, and sensual with a BDSM twist.

We will explore how to just go with the flow creating one-of-a- kind ties that are fun, artistic, functional and binding. There is no rhyme or reason to the ties other than what is in your creative mind. Knowing the basics of anatomy is important and the basics of how to support the bottom with safe wraps. One of the most important pieces of this puzzle is to learn how to keep the integrity of your tie intact. Come and experience this journey!

A rope workshop for kissing couples and partners whatever your orientation. We will explore hands on tying for the sensual expression and enjoyment between partners. This exploration will involve a discussion touching upon such topics as trust, connection, the space that rope provides to the top and bottom and how vulnerability opens the door to magical results. For the riggers in this workshop we will share knowledge with you that will enable you to go with the flow of a rope scene that completely mesmerizes your partner and visa-versa. For those who have yet to bring rope into your play together or who have shared this magical connection this workshop will inspire you to new heights. Come on and join us! It’s a fantastic journey!

This workshop explores several breast, waist and body harnesses (karadas) and how they can be combined to create more intricate ties. The thrust of this concentrates on the artistic expression of the rigger. In addition to the aesthetics of rope I will talk about and share some ideas on how to maintain spontaneity in tying. This is the perfect class for the beginner and intermediate rope enthusiast.

This is a very special combination to me, one that I am passionate about. The intention of this discussion is to take away the mystery of capturing images of rope bondage. We will explore how to use minimal lighting with maximum results. This class will not have a studio lighting set up. Cameras may be permitted with the approval of the event management. I will need two lamps for this class.

This forum will explore questions and techniques of those in attendance. There is no predetermined presentation prepared. It is all about what you want to learn, clarify and try. So, bring a partner, rope and desire to explore how rope bondage can open up a whole new world of exploration. The opportunities are endless.

This class explores how to use rope bondage in tandem with other toys commonly used in the world of BDSM. There are canes, paddles, candles, clovers, clothes pins, single tails, vibrating stuff and more. We will explore how to incorporate as many scenarios as possible and what kind of ties work to allow for the most versatility in your scene. This class is a must for those with a kinky perspective.

This is a great opportunity to work with David Lawrence on your Japanese Inspired Rope Bondage fundamentals, techniques, knowledge and creativity. There will be two sessions presented. Each session will be 2 hours and will cover a wealth of topics and information supportive for your development as a rigger and rope bottom. In this session the basics will be explored and reinforced. A good architect starts a design with a solid foundation. Solid rope bondage also starts with a good foundation. Come and learn about the foundations that will support you growing as a rigger and rope bottom. David will cover, breast/chest harnesses, waist/hip harnesses, single and double column ties, ankle to thigh ties and wrist to bicep ties. In the last 30 minutes of this class David will show you how to put it all together into a cohesive and functional tie.

This class is a must for the person new to rope bondage and those interested in honing their fundamental skill sets.

Requirements for this class are, 4 to 6 lengths of 5 or 6 mm 30 foot rope (preferably jute or hemp), safety knife or EMT Shears, a rope bottom, and a desire to learn and enjoy.




In this session David will take you on a journey through the dynamics of floor work, partial suspensions, full suspensions and some of the more extreme Japanese Inspired Rope Bondage techniques he has infused in his style.

At the very beginning of this class David will engage with the participants to understand what the overall interest is and the concentration of the class will be geared towards that interest. The participant will be required to bring 6 to 8 lengths of 5 to 6 mm 30 foot rope (preferably jute or hemp), a rope bottom, safety knife or EMT Shears, a desire to learn and a commitment to enjoying what you are doing.

This class is for the intermediate and advanced rigger and your rope bottoms. Beginners are welcome and should be prepared to move quickly through the various aspects of this class.
